The Pet is not the only puppet in our show that will be sculpted out of foam. Also inspired by the genius creations at Big Nazo LAB, we will be making two life-sized wearable puppet versions of the characters Rose the bear and Lars the turtle.
A great lesson Nicole learned while doing her internship was that foam is uncomfortable against human skin. Therefore, it is always important to line the inside of the puppets with something nice that will be comfortable. An interior lining can also be helpful when creating a wearable puppet, because then you have a snug-fitting base directly onto which you can sculpt any crazy thing your brain can imagine.
